Welcome To The Lamar Viking Booster Club
Spring is the time when the earth starts over; building on the past to create something that is paradoxically familiar and unique. This is particularly true for the Lamar Football family this Spring. The boys have started Spring workouts and are planting the seeds the will come to fruition next Fall. We are blessed to have such a strong legacy to build upon and are grateful for the impact Coach Peach has had on the young men of North Arlington. As we prepare for the upcoming football season we have the opportunity to honor the legacy of Coach Peach while helping Coach Fuller build a legacy of his own. Marilea and I are excited to have a role in helping honor the past and build the future of Lamar Football. We are looking forward to working with the parents and Lamar Football Fans involved in the Football Booster Club. The Football Booster Club buys equipment that the players use in the weight room and on the field, the equipment for recording and watching game films, jerseys, footballs, pads, pants, and the many other items that make the difference in being a top tier program.

Thank you for supporting the fundraisers that we have had this Spring and those that are coming. We need you to volunteer to help with needs like working in the concession stand on Friday nights, selling concessions on Thursday night for the JV games, buying memberships, and ads for the programs. Our annual contribution to the Viking football program exceeds $20,000 annually and our facilities are in need of additional upgrades if we are to be competitive in the years to come. Your donations and memberships are important and appreciated and are we work hard to see that they are wisely used.

Jay Ryan has been working very hard to redesign our web site so that it can be a better resource to keep the Viking family updated. Also, this year more information will be available on Twitter, Blog and Facebook. With the help of Jay and others we hope to improve communication and help keep everyone connected.

We would like to remind you that this is the right time to decide where you want your season tickets to be. It is a great cost savings to buy your tickets for all the regular season home games at Cravens field before the season begins. The AISD ticket office is on Pioneer Parkway.

We are looking forward to the Spring Game on the 28th of May and hope to see you there. We are planning some special events in conjunction with the Spring Game and more details about the scrimmage will be available soon. Please plan on attending and ending this School Year with a glimpse of the future.
